Noge Bar Spoon |
A series of stores that I'm interested in but haven't been to yet. This is an Ajillo specialty restaurant located on the second floor of a snack bar-like building just one street away from Noge-koji. I decided to visit around 10pm on a Saturday. There were three other groups of customers. The interior of the store is more like a bar, or perhaps it used to be a snack bar, with only a counter. The menu mainly consists of Ajillo (13 types) with a few a la carte dishes. So I ordered "Chicken and Shrimp Ajillo" and "Quails Pickled in Soy Sauce". I waited while drinking highballs and other drinks. Ajillo is relatively light and has a lot of garlic. The shrimp is delicious. Wanting more excitement (garlic), I ordered an additional "Ajillo of Ajillo". This dish is packed with Prosciutto and garlic, making it a perfect match for alcohol. There is a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, and you can drink while snacking on Ajillo so it seems like a good place for a second or subsequent stop. Next time I would like to try a final dish of pasta (using Ajillo oil). We also had kangaroo Ajillo.
