After training at the Osaka Terminal Hotel (now Hotel Granvia Osaka) and Jean Moulin, he went to Europe in 1993. After training at the German government's state guesthouse, he furthered his studies at Michelin-starred Restaurants in Germany, France, and Luxembourg. After returning to Japan, he used the accent mark "grave accent" in the name of his restaurant and opened in Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka in 2002. He moved to his current location in 2007.
