A bowl of natural sea urchin and salmon roe is only 990 yen! What a bargain!
A generous portion of wild salmon roe rice bowl. Enjoy the value for money that only a large company can provide.
I found out that Nakau was running a promotion on their salmon roe bowls. I usually try to avoid big chains, but it looked like a good deal, so I decided to give it a go. There are three levels of ikura serving - regular, large, and extra large - which seem to double or triple the amount of ikura, so considering the price per ikura, I went for the extra large serving (1,990 yen). It's certainly more than enough. I heard that ikura is cheap this year, so this campaign is taking advantage of that situation. It's a great deal that only Zensho, a big company with a lot of capital and Hama Sushi in its group, can offer. Perhaps China's seafood embargo is also working. If you want to eat your fill of salmon roe at a low price, this is the place to go. It will end as soon as stock runs out, so hurry.

This is my second visit to Nakau this year. I usually avoid chain restaurants, but I couldn't resist when I heard that the Natural Sea Urchin and Salmon Roe Bowl was popular, following the Gokai Salmon Roe Bowl. I arrived at the restaurant at 12:10 on a weekday, but it was very crowded, and it took 10 minutes to sit down and another 10 minutes to be served. It seems that they are short-staffed and not much staff is being served. I ordered the Natural Sea Urchin and Salmon Roe Bowl (990 yen). Given the price, I didn't have high expectations, but the quality of not only the salmon roe but also the natural sea urchin was very good. The alum flavor is not too strong and it was very delicious. I really feel the overall strength of the Zensho chain, which owns Hama Sushi under its umbrella. I don't like chain restaurants, but I have to use them at times like this. Thank you for the meal.
