I received a chicken nanban lunch for 880 yen. It consists of chicken nanban, egg rolled in dashi soup, white rice, miso soup, pickled plums, boiled chicken, and kelp tsukudani. Chicken Nanban has juicy and tender breast meat covered in a relatively rich mayonnaise sauce. The soup-wrapped egg is steamed to finish, giving it a beautiful color and soft, plump texture. There is little egg odor and the flavor of the soup stock stands out. The white rice is said to be cooked on a stove in the store, and has a nice consistency. Miso soup has a strong dashi stock, and umeboshi neutralizes the palate. Overall, a good value lunch. The soup-wrapped eggs have a strong presence, and the large number of items makes it a great value in terms of quantity. There was counter seating in the dining room, and we were able to easily answer any questions we had about the food. Professional work is helpful.
