名古屋市中村区にある中華料理店「ちょもらんま」。
名古屋市中区に本社を置く「株式会社SORA GROUP」が運営を行う中華居酒屋である。
こちらの「ちょもらんま」は、現時点で、食べログ点数3.44ながら、食べログ「名古屋市【中華料理】」ランキングにおいては、第98位である。
ランチにて訪れた。
店は、JR「名古屋駅」の北東方面にある。駅からは歩いて、およそ6、7分ほどの距離。
店へ到着。そして、入店。平日の1225の時点で、1階の客入りは4、5割ほど。その後の来客も、トボトボとしたもの。カウンターへ着席。
メニューを確認。本日は、白胡麻の「担々麺」を注文。880円（税込み）。ライスは無料サービスのようだ。

少し待った上で、丼がやって来た。いざ実食。普通に美味しい担々麺を食べることに、成功した。濃厚のキーワードが相応しい。はからずも、十把一絡げにして捉えがちな料理ではあるが、店によって、多種多様な表情を見せ、それぞれ特徴が異なる点が面白い。「味で勝負」の意気込みを、感じられる店も多い。この系統が好みならば、きっと、時折、無性に食べたくなることだろう。シンプルな具材がのった、ボリューム十分の看板メニューを味わった。
一方、無料サービスであっても、このご飯だけは許容出来ない。「ベチャッ」とした部分がありつつ、加えて、茶碗の中では、ほぐれないご飯が塊を形成。10段階で表せば、1は免れたとしても2。良く言って、3の代物。低質なご飯は、「この店では、定食の選択肢は無いな」と思わせる水準感。せっかくの無料サービスが、逆に、負の効果をもたらしていた。
スピーディーな提供と、高い回転率こそが生命線。客単価が低いラーメン店での長居は禁物。店自慢の麺とスープの味を、よく確かめた上で、テンポよく食べ進め、約20分ほどで、店を後にした。この度、客の男性率が非常に高い店内で、こちらの店の担々麺を体験した。
