I visited this Teppan-yaki restaurant on a weekday night, which opened in October 2023 along the Horikawa River, about a 5-minute walk from Kokusai Center Subway Station. The interior of the store is stylish, with 8 counter seats and sofa seats in the basement, and tables, tatami rooms, and private rooms on the 1st to 3rd floors. When I entered around 8pm, it was busy with many customers. The menu includes Okonomiyaki including the famous pork balls, grilled soba with sauce, perilla leaves and salted konbu, oyster mushrooms with yam butter, fluffy tonkei, scorching hot mapo tofu, grilled squid stalls, grilled liver liver in foil, and other teppanyaki dishes, as well as secret dishes. The lineup is quite appealing, including Fried food such as fried chicken and shrimp and shiso cheese spring rolls, and snacks such as drinkable potato salad, chicken shad, and gizzard shad in ginger. Among them, I ordered stewed domestic beef tendon, secret deep-fried pork belly, and the famous pork balls. The menu said 3 pieces of the secret deep-fried pork belly, so I thought it would be an appropriate amount, but I ordered 1. The pieces are very large, so we cut them in half and serve them, and even the half-sized pieces are about the same size as normal, so there are actually 6 pieces, which is quite filling. But the taste is really good, the meat is juicy and chewy wrapped in a crunchy batter, and the sauce tastes great too. And the famous pork balls are very thick and visually very nice. The fluffy texture makes them melt, and the combination of rich sauce and mayonnaise is irresistible. It was quite delicious. There were a number of other items on the menu that I was interested in, such as fried soba, so I would like to visit again if I have a chance. Thank you for the meal.
