This is Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that opened on January 16, 2024, about a 5-minute walk from Fushimi Subway Station, and I tried it out on a weekday night. There are 6 seats at the counter, 8 tables, and 2 private rooms, and when I arrived around 8pm, there were only 2 other customers. The menu focuses on Seafood such as Oyster, oysters, atka mackerel, grilled tuna, fried horse mackerel, and fried oysters, as well as meat such as meatballs, fried chicken, pork loin skewers, and obanzai, as well as a wide selection of Japanese sake. There were also various delicacies that seemed to go well with it. Among them, we received an assortment of three types of sashimi and fried horse mackerel. First of all, an assortment of grilled cod roe, red mok, and tuna blood fried chicken appeared as appetizers.A restaurant that serves this kind of appetizer well has a high probability of being hit, so this seems to be something to look forward to. The sashimi platter lets you choose your favorite from about 7 different types, which is really nice. I chose star anise, sumakatsuo, and natural yellowtail, and all of them were delicious, but the star anise was especially good. The sweetness of the fat that melts in your mouth is irresistible. And then there's the fried horse mackerel, which is so large that it's a bit difficult to pick it up with chopsticks, and the crispy batter and plump meat are irresistible. Speaking of my greed, I would have liked a little more tartar sauce, but with Mayora's allocation, I didn't have even half of it, so I was glad that at least sauce was provided. I also ordered sake and salmon sakebitashi, a Niigata delicacy made by slowly aging salted salmon and thinly slicing it.It is said that the name came from the custom of pouring alcohol over it before eating. There was no alcohol involved. I had it for the first time, and it was delicious, with a mature flavor that filled my mouth and was perfect as an accompaniment to alcohol. It was a nice restaurant where you could enjoy delicious fish. It looks like it's easy to use, whether you're enjoying the fish to your heart's content or enjoying a glass of sake with a delicacy, so I'd like to visit again.Thank you for the meal.
