名古屋メシランチということで案内頂いたのが栄の繁華街の人気店。12時直後であれば、と訪れてみるとクラシカルな建屋の二階へと続く階段途中まで行列。但し１巡目が回転する頃だろうとの判断で10分とせず店内に案内されました。
栄の飲食店街の老舗ステーキ店が催すサービスランチは￥１Kポッキリ中心。とんかつはソースの味変で３種、アジフライ、カレーに鉄板焼きなどなど。ちょっと高めのメニューには牛の薄切りやステーキもあったり。オーダー時にご飯のボリュームも尋ねられたので普通でお願いします。
選んだのは名古屋と言えばのとんかつ定食の「味噌」。同行者からも「敢えて味噌カツを食べるケースというのもあまりないけど、この店のとんかつは美味しい」とのこと。いいじゃないですか。
大きなプレートに乗って一式が配膳。主菜のとんかつにはどろりとした味噌ダレがかかって繊切りキャベツにソースで炒めたようなパスタ？が添えられています。小鉢には山菜とお新香に佃煮なんてあたり。手抜きなく繊維質がキマってますね。
とんかつは適切な大きさでみっちりとした食感の肉質。廉価なチェーン店ともまた違って少し硬いですが甘辛いタレを纏って美味しい、自動運転でご飯もわしわしと進みます。
副菜も充実しており昭和の趣を残し店内もゆったりとしていて長居はせずとも居心地も悪くありません。自分も含めて滅多なことでは夜は使わないようなご同輩諸氏が通うであろうヒルメシ処といった雰囲気をひしひしと感じました。
これでも最近価格改定されたと聞きましたが、こちらのランチはオススメ。少し高めですがタイミングを見計らってカツカレーとか食べてみたいですね。
