How about some Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) on your way home from work? From yakitori carefully grilled one by one over binchotan charcoal to delicious local chicken dishes, this is a restaurant |
On this day, I went to Yakitoriya Kura with my mother for dinner. We discovered it while we were wandering around the hotel where we were staying. The sign and the atmosphere of the restaurant looked nice, so we decided to go in. The restaurant is near Princess Street in Sakae, Nagoya, and although the surrounding area was a bit lively, the restaurant itself had a quiet and calm atmosphere. There were only seats, counter seats and tatami mat seats. There were many seasonal menus. [Menu we ordered] ・Appetizer (firefly squid, simmered eggplant, salad) ・Tomato salad ・Chicken fillet with wasabi (¥500) ・Heart skewer (¥130) ・Chicken neck (¥140) ・Dashimaki eggplant (¥450) ・Liver skewer (¥140) ・Gizzard (¥140) ・Thigh meat (¥150) ・Asparagus and pork belly fries (¥280) ・Shiitake mushrooms *Appetizer First of all, the appetizer was amazing...! I think the taste of an Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) is determined by the appetizer, but the appetizer at this restaurant was perfect, as they served seasonal dishes. I went there at the end of March, so I was served boiled firefly squid and eggplant, and a special salad. The taste of the appetizer already had me excited. *Tomato salad The parboiled tomatoes were topped with Western-style salt and herbs, which was a stylish taste that is rare for a Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). The skin was carefully peeled off one by one, and the flavor of the soft tomatoes came through immediately, and I thought it was a carefully prepared dish. *Liver skewers It is no exaggeration to say that it was the most delicious liver I have ever eaten in my life...!!! The surface was crispy after being grilled over charcoal, but the inside was fluffy and soft, and the rich flavor of liver spread throughout my mouth the moment I ate it. There was no odor at all, and I think even people who don't like liver would be able to eat it. *Asparagus and pork belly fries The asparagus was huge and thick!! It's amazing that at this size, most of the volume is asparagus!!! The batter was thin and crispy, and the thick asparagus inside had a crunchy texture. It was really clear that they were particular about the vegetables they used. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.
