2019年9月のとある土曜日の11時過ぎに訪ねた。
矢場町駅を出て徒歩3分ほどの場所にある「CoCo壱番屋 中区矢場町店」。
店舗オリジナルのカレーメニューを提供しているため気にはしていた。
店内は3割程度客で埋まっていた。
カウンター席に1人で座り「名古屋赤みそカレー」¥844＋「3辛」¥63を注文。
赤みそカレーの他に豚みそカレーというオリジナルメニューもあったが、まずは赤みそから。
5分ほど待って提供される。
見た目に美しいカレー。真ん中に卵の黄身、ネギが盛られていて色合いが華やか。
カレーの具材は豆腐がメイン。麻婆豆腐的なカレーという感じだろうか。
赤味噌の風味は香るが、それほど味噌の感じは強くない。3辛なりの辛さはあるものの、卵の黄身でまろやかな味になっている。
猛烈に美味しいカレーとまでは至らないが、面白いオリジナルメニューではある。
卓上の福神漬けを大量に投下して赤みそカレーを堪能。
ココイチ好きとしては、コンプリートしたくなる店舗オリジナルカレー。果てしない道のりである。
