休日の午後２時半ごろに伺うと、１階席は満席で２階席も半分以上の着席率でした。
カフェタイムに突入しているので、次々とお客さんが入ってくる人気店です。
先にお席を確保してから注文する、セルフサービススタイルです。
店名の「コーヒー」と「ジェラート」のどちらにするか悩み、どちらも味わえるアフォガードを注文しました。
するとカウンターのジェラートケースから「LAATE（ミルク）」を取り出してガラスコップに入れ、マシンで挽いたエスプレッソをかけて渡してくれました。
ジェラートが溶けてしまうので、熱々のエスプレッソは別添えで自分のペースでかけられると良かったです。
このミルクジェラート、すごく美味しい。
さっぱり味なのにしっかりミルクの味がして、ねっとりしすぎず、氷すぎず、絶妙な粘度です。
ミルクのレベルの高さに、他のフレーバーへの期待も高まります。
エスプレッソも苦すぎず濃すぎず、ジェラートの説妙にマッチしていて、おいしいアフォガードが完成していました。
メニューに豆花を推しているようで外看板にも「豆花」の文字が踊りますが、やはり店名の「コーヒー＆ジェラート」はハイクオリティでした。
カウンターのスイーツはミニサイズでお値段もお手頃なので、コーヒーのお供によさそうです。カフェラテとミニスイーツのセットも注文してみたいです。
ところで、ジェラートケースにあった「LAATE」はミルクと表示があったので、たぶん「LATTE」ではないのかな。
店員さんの遊び心かもしれませんので、そこはご愛嬌ということで。
