cheap! delicious! Good atmosphere! A kushikatsu and oden shop that has all three features (^^)
I enjoyed some delicious kushikatsu and oden (^^) I visited Hoshiya, located in Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya. The photo was taken during Christmas time (^^; The restaurant is in the basement of a building in the Women's University area. In the same row is [a:23059385,Nagoriya], which I visited the other day, so it's a very interesting building♪ The restaurant has a counter as its main feature! It's a rather stylish counter. It's a very calm space and I like it (^^) ★Yebisu beer, draft, 550 yen Yebisu is the best! Cheers♪ The main dishes are oden and Fried Skewers (deep-fried skewers). Of course we'll have both~♪ Miso oden ★Daikon radish 150 yen ★Egg 150 yen ★Beef tendon 200 yen What great colours! I like the atmosphere of oden on a skewer♪ The must-have for oden is daikon radish! It soaks into the inside♪ The miso is not too heavy, and while it has a rich flavour, it is surprisingly light. It's very tasty (^^) Next up is the kushiage (deep Fried Skewers)! Here's a huge serving♪ ★Matsusaka pork kushikatsu 100 yen It's not Matsusaka beef, but Matsusaka pork. I feel like I've been seeing it quite a bit recently. Dip the crispy batter into the generous amount of sauce and take a bite! Matsusaka pork is sweet and delicious♪ And for 100 yen, it's a very satisfying size (^^) ★Shrimp 200 yen These are pretty impressive shrimp! ★Quail 100 yen I love them♪ ★Avocado 150 yen I love them too~(^^) ★Corn 100 yen Even with the cob still on! It came out different to how I imagined it would look. I munched away at it♪ It's a bit innovative and fun (^^) They're all delicious, so I ordered some more!! ★Lotus root 100 yen ★Shishamo 100 yen ★Hiroshima oysters 150 yen ★Baumkuchen 100 yen So innovative (lol) ★Miso egg rice 280 yen The miso is this good. If you add an egg, it's an guaranteed deliciousness (^^) I was just planning to have a few drinks, but the food was so good that I ended up eating a lot ♪ The miso was especially good! I dipped the leftover miso in Fried Skewers and it was delicious (^^) It's pretty unusual for me to even have rice at the first place I go. It's reasonable, delicious, and the atmosphere is relaxing ♪ I found a great restaurant ♪ I'd like to come again! Thank you for the meal! This post is from this blog. You can also enjoy unusual types of kushikatsu (^^) We visited ``Kushikatsu Hoshiya'' located in Sakae 4-chome, Naka-ku, Nagoya. It's a shop in the basement of Sakae Green Building that I've been indebted to in many ways♪ I stopped by for the first time in a while (^^) I'm so happy with raw shrimp♪ The appetizer is cabbage! The salty sauce makes it a nice snack♪ After eating the regular kushikatsu, I'll have a few curveball skewers♪ Yamnyon kushikatsu! It's not too spicy and it's delicious♪ The kushikatsu itself is crispy and delicious~(^^) Kushikatsu Okonomiyaki style! Lots of mayonnaise and flower bonito! I love this♪ Deep-Fried Skewers Baumkuchen skewers! It's bigger than I expected~♪ It's been a while since I last visited, but it was delicious, reasonably priced, and a very nice restaurant (^^) I'll be visiting again soon! Thank you for the meal!
