私にとっての焼肉屋のイメージは、もうもうと煙った部屋の中であぐらに座り、ワイワイ騒ぎながら皆で肉をつつくというイメージがある。つまり、気取らない場所で親しい仲間や家族で楽しむ料理だ。私としては高級な肉はステーキ屋や鉄板焼きの店で食べるというイメージがあり、焼肉屋はどちらかというと、比較進化を遂げるというイメージだ。
この店は私の持つ焼肉屋のイメージを大きく覆す店だ。まず、非常に高級な雰囲気の店だ。店内の内装には非常にコストがかかっていて、居るだけで、高級な空間に身を置いていることが実感できる。また、席のスペースも非常に贅沢にとってあるので、隣の客が騒いでも、気にならないであろう落ち着いた佇まいだ。
この店は松坂牛を一頭買いして、肉を供給しているようで、店頭には肉を販売している売り場がある。一人前¥8,900円の焼肉セットで、それに色々追加することにした。最初に出て来たのは牛タンだったが、これを食べてびっくりした。私が知る牛タンの味とは似ても似つかない美味しさなのだ。まあ、普通、日本で食べる牛タンはアメリカ製の冷凍肉が多い訳だが、このアメリカ製の牛舌は嫌な臭いがする。しかし、この肉は嫌な臭いは一切無く、非常に良い香りがする。また、肉は非常にジューシーで柔らかく美味しい味だ。
さて、その他の肉だが、非常に美味しい。日本では高級牛肉はA5脂肪がとか表示される脂肪ばかりの肉が多い中で、この店の肉には脂肪が多すぎないというのも素晴らしいが、肉自体の、そして肉の内部の脂肪の味と香りが素晴らしい。肉が素晴らしいので、あらかじめタレに漬け込んである訳ではなく、肉の旨さをストレートに味わえる。う〜ん、美味しい！いくらでも入っていってしまう。
また、ワインの選択肢が非常に正統派で、おまけに値段設定が非常に良心的だと思う。しかし、こんな美味しい焼肉、過去の記憶には無い。また、値段も非常に安いというのが実感だ。店のHPを見ると100人の宴会も可能なようだ。最近はグルメブームなのか？名古屋でも8名以下の隣の客の会話が気になる狭いカウンターで客単価が¥20,000円を超える店も増えて来た。しかし、その金額に見合った満足感が得られるか？と問われると？？？という場合も少なく無い。もちろん、その値段設定には然るべき理由がある訳だが、この店は、酒代込みで一人¥15,000円以下だったのに、料理の味、内容、量、店内の雰囲気、居心地の良さ、全ての面で最高ランクの優良店だと思った。
