We had lunch at Stargate on the 30th floor of the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Grand Court Nagoya in Kanayama. The panoramic view from 130m above ground was overwhelming, with a chic, modern, and relaxed interior. The hospitality is unique to a hotel. We started with nine kinds of hors d'oeuvres, a colourful and cute assortment of bite-sized appetizers, soft bread, a gentle consommé-flavored soup, and a choice of meat or fish for the main course, all with delicious sauces. For dessert, we chose two of our favourite items from a dessert trolley service. It was exciting and a bit fun. Ice cream, jelly, mousse, and cake - I wanted to try them all, not just two. A hotel lunch is a relaxing and elegant experience. Mmm, it was a good time.
