A Nagoya Cochin specialty restaurant established in 1953. It serves Japan's three great local chickens (Hinaichidori, Nagoya Cochin, and Satsuma Jidori). I found out just before visiting that you can make reservations for lunch, so I called 45 minutes before the day to make sure, and luckily there was a seat available! Four young men and women who visited at almost the same time without a reservation were finally seated when I left. It's located in a Showa entertainment district, so the contrast with the surrounding restaurants is also nice. The restaurant has a historic atmosphere, and the approach from the garden to the entrance and the earthen floor are wonderful, and I was honored to be seated alone in a spacious tatami room on the second floor. I ordered: ◆ "Specialty exquisite Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) (2,200 yen)" ・Salad, soup, pickles ◆ "Beer (750 yen)" ・Kirin Classic Lager I waited for about 20 minutes while drinking my beer, and the food arrived. According to the restaurant's explanation, * "Only the surface of the thigh meat is charcoal-grilled and topped with a Nagoya Cochin egg until it is plump." Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) is delicious with great elasticity and flavor! However, the flavor of the dashi broth that is unique to Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) is not very strong, so in this respect it is only passable. The miso soup is also quite tasty. This is what makes it great. Overall, it was a delicious Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) with the overwhelming elasticity and flavor of the Nagoya Cochin chicken. The value for money is also good for this content (taste and atmosphere). I was very satisfied with the atmosphere and the service. If I have the chance next time, I would definitely like to eat hot pot (Hot Pot) at night.
