名古屋市が最初の公園として1909年に開園
しており、115年の歴史があります。
公園自体が、登録記念物となっております。
西洋風回遊式庭園を基本とし
和洋折衷の様式を採用しており、
サクラ、バラ、ハナショウブ等が有名です。
今の時期は、バラが見頃となっております。
