焼き鳥屋でありながら、ジビエとワインが味わえるとの触れ込みです。
金山小町内にあるもう一ヶ所の焼き鳥屋「炭火串焼 かしわ屋治兵衛」との差別化が図れています。
治兵衛と比べると店内は小さめで、照明もふんわりしていて落ち着いた雰囲気です。
ジビエが置いているのが魅力的ではあるのですが、やはりある程度のお値段はしますし量が分からないので今回は見送り…グラムとかが書いてあると参考に出来ますが、ちょっと躊躇ってしまいます。
まだまだ名古屋でジビエを手軽に味わえるお店はそこまで多くないですし、貴重ではあります。
カウンター席の目の前が調理場になっていて、仕事の様子を伺えます。
恐らく店長と思しき焼き場の方の手際がとても良いです。
店内は混み合っているのに、そこまで待つことなく串物も完成します。
ワインを置いている焼き鳥屋自体は多いのですが、グラスワインの種類が豊富なのは嬉しいところです。
数種類いただきましたが、しっかりと個性のあるワインが味わえます。
ささみやせせり等のあっさりとした串には白ワイン、レバーやつくねには赤ワインを…というようにマッチングを楽しむことも出来ます。
もちろん他にもお酒は各ジャンル揃ってます。一刻者や黒伊佐錦、佐藤(麦)…焼酎派も納得のラインナップに加え、日本酒も色々とあります。
強いて言うならば、ほんのりとだけ串物が高い値段設定になっているように感じます。が、串のクオリティとのバランスも取れているので然して気にはならないです。
鶏は錦爽鶏を使っているようで、さっぱりめの旨味と歯ごたえを感じます。
なお、味付けは選べません。例えばつくねはタレ、皮は塩…というように固定されているようです。言えば好みの焼き方にしてくれるかもしれません。
また、串は２本単位での注文です。今回は恐らく１人だったせいもあり「１本ずつでも良いですよ」と仰っていただけました。たまに１人でも２本単位でしか注文できないところもあり、もちろん仕方が無いのですが色々な串が楽しめなくなってしまうので複雑な所でもあるルールです。
次回来たときはジビエにも挑戦しようと思います。
皆様よく注文されていたちょうちんも気になります。ちょうちんがメニューにピックアップされていて、かつこれだけの数が注文されているのは新鮮に感じます。レアなイメージだったので…。
