This is the authentic taste! A casual Restaurants and bar where you can enjoy authentic Nepalese Cuisine while in Japan.
The store name "Hamro" means "our". We named our Restaurants,'' which includes our customers and staff, with the hope that as many people in Japan as possible can enjoy delicious cuisine made with aut |
Innepa restaurant has only just opened in January, so it's still young. Even in the darkness of the light rain, the red Nepalese flag in front of the store stands out. When I entered the store, I was met by a Nepali male clerk and a female clerk. The store is bright and clean. In addition to about 4 table seats, there are counter seats. Nepali liquors such as Kukri Rum and Old Durbar are neatly displayed on top of it, giving it a definite bar atmosphere. ------------------------------------------ ★Nepal thali set 1480 yen in Nepal A one-plate set meal called "dal bhat." The drink is lassi. I didn't say anything about the type or spiciness of the curry and left it up to them.・The Nepali female clerk brought me the lassi first with a smile. It retains the thick taste of yogurt and is very satisfying to drink.・They even served me soup.・Yellow dal (bean soup). There is green coriander on top. This is my personal favorite type of dal, as it is light and soupy, but has a strong salty flavor and a strong garlic flavor.・Chicken curry is thick Nepalese gravy type. Tomato base. Like dal, it has a strong salty taste and the chicken is chunky.・Tarkari (stir-fried vegetables) contains potatoes and something like a round deep-fried tofu.・Saag (stir-fried green vegetables) is spinach.・2 raw vegetables cucumber slices and 1 lemon slice.・Achar (pickles) are green. When I asked the host if it was unusual, he said it was mint and tomato achar. The smell of mint was certainly wafting from the streets of Nepal.・Papad (bean Senbei (rice crackers)).・Japanese rice. Enough to fill you up. It felt like it was about three times the price of the dal bhat you get in Nepal, but the rich seasoning was so good that I felt like I could have eaten multiple bowls of rice with just the dal. As the name of the restaurant includes "Hamro" ("our" in Nepali), it was a very authentic Nepali style Dal Bhat. ------------------------------------------ When I was asking about cooking, “Would you like some chaya (Nepal tea)? Service?” the host asked. I had already had two cups of tea that day, but I decided to have it without hesitation. In response to my questions, the owner used the TV in the store to show me beautiful images of his hometown and the tea producing region. Not to be outdone, I told a story about how I ended up staying in a hotel for four nights and then a hospital for four nights during my stay in Nepal. I felt that having a leisurely chat with a glass of chaya that was so sweet that the sugar hadn't completely melted was typical of Nepal. I ended up staying too long. The friendly staff made me want to come back again. Dannebird. Thank you for the meal.
