名古屋市千種区にある鳥料理居酒屋「むかしや」。
こちらの「むかしや」は、現時点で、食べログ点数3.19ながら、食べログ「名古屋市千種区」ランキング第257位にランクインする。約1700軒中、第257位である。また、食べログ「名古屋市千種区鳥料理」ランキングにおいては、第6位である。十分立派だろう。
近くにある京料理店「もと井」でのディナー後に、2軒目利用にて訪れた。
店は、地下鉄「池下駅」のすぐ近くにある。駅からは歩いて、およそ2、3分ほどの距離。
店へ到着。そして、入店。賑わう店内。楽しそうな声が店内に響き渡る。
カウンターへ着席。カウンターは、わずかに4席。
破壊力抜群の「もと井」の食事直後である。空腹感など無い。今回は単品にて、軽く注文を行った。

総額2440円。美味しい名古屋コーチンであった。
「コーチンせせり」が特に美味しかった。噛めば、噛むほど、旨味を感じるもの。弾力のある歯応えがたまらない。クセになる噛み応え。やはり、串焼きに最適な部位であることを再認識。「コーチンねぎま」も良し。ねぎ無しであると、さらに美味しい串に仕上がるのは、確実だろう。
喫煙可能な店であったことは、書き留めておきたい。
焼き鳥屋でしばしば見受けられる「荒々しい接客」など、こちらの店には無い。失礼ながら、意外にも丁寧な対応を受けた。さすが、数十年の歴史を有する店である。
純系名古屋コーチンの取扱いを示す看板が飾られていた。錦にある人気店「旬菜 一鳳 にしき」にあった物と同じである。居酒屋そのものの雰囲気はさておき、「美味しい名古屋コーチンを手軽に食べられる」点を高く評価したい。機会があれば、また訪問したい。
今回、ここを訪問したことで、「8月度食べ歩きシリーズ」への弾みをつけることができた。

などを巡る。食に精通する高名な諸先輩方が高い評価をした人気店なだけに、今月も謙虚な気持ちで、そして、低姿勢で、しっかりと学んでいきたい。また、いつも「いいね！」をくださる方々への感謝も忘れず、取り組んで参りたい。このような「食べ歩き繁忙期」に、ここ「むかしや」へ訪問できたことは、大変意義深いものであった。
