It seems to be very popular, and it was almost full within 20 minutes of opening. I ordered the miso stew with shrimp tempura, and my wife ordered the miso stew set meal. The set meal comes with three skewers of dote stew and rice. The shrimp tempura has a thick batter, but it absorbs the miso and is filling. My wife also enjoyed TKG by adding the egg that came with the miso stew to the rice. There are various Yamamotoya locations, including Yamamotoya Honten, Sohonke, Okutei, and Imaike, but each location has a completely different taste and appearance.
