``Takiya'' is located along Nishiki Dori in Ikeshita, Nagoya. During dinner time, this is a Yakiniku (Grilled meat) restaurant that requires reservations, but during lunch time, it operates as a Curry Udon specialty restaurant. On this day, I went to try Curry Udon during lunch time. There is a hall with table seats at the back of the store, but during lunch time, the customers sit at the counter in the front. Once the seven-wheeled Yakiniku (Grilled meat) paddies placed during yakiniku time are removed, the counter seats quickly become quite spacious. What I received was `` Karaage Curry Tsukemen'' for 1,000 yen. Although it is Tsukemen (Dipping Nudle), it is Takiya's original Curry Udon that combines thin udon noodles with curry soup stock. The curry soup stock has an exquisite taste that combines bonito-based Japanese soup stock, chicken stock, and over 20 original spice blends. The style is similar to the Wakashachi family's Curry Udon, but it can be said to be a unique style with a bit more richness. The curry udon went well with the thin udon, making it Curry Udon you could thoroughly enjoy. The curry soup left over after eating the udon noodles is so delicious that you'll want to eat every last bit of rice (free on weekdays). By the way, there is also a lineup of curry rice products such as "Minced cutlet curry rice" (1,000 yen), but the curry sauce is the same curry soup stock used for Curry Udon. I enjoyed the gentle Japanese-style curry and rice.
