This time we went on a curry tour. The place I went to was a restaurant called ``Curry Shop Ret・ree''. This is a Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) called ``Yakitori Lettori'', which is an izakaya, and is open during lunch time. The location is a few minutes walk north from Chikusa Station. It is located off a large road along the railroad tracks. I recently learned about this information, and after doing a little research, it seems that there is some sort of spice curry that uses obanzai. I was curious, so I decided to try it out and ordered "Obanzai and Chicken Curry". The contents are: -Chicken curry (free large serving of rice) -Obanzai -Salad, and the price is 1,000 yen including tax. ◯Cooking/Taste: An interesting combination of spice curry and Side Dishes that you don't often see. Obanzai was delicious. Moreover, it uses meat so it's satisfying to eat. Most spice curries are aimed at women, but this one was hearty enough to satisfy men.・Chicken curry It's juicy and light, with a richness similar to butter chicken. It's more like the type you'd find at a cafe or a spice curry restaurant than a curry at Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). The rice is normal white rice, but since it comes with obanzai, this might be a better choice.・Obanzai A luxurious lineup of Simmered dish carrots, stir-fried pork and green peppers, meatballs, chicken, fried tofu, and Simmered dish root vegetables, pickled purple cabbage, and hot spring eggs. All of the items look like something you'd find at Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). All of them were delicious, but the ones like the meatballs were especially delicious because they had a lot of flavor. For the 200 yen difference from regular chicken curry, it's worth it.・Salad It was a salad that used corn and mizuna. ◯Service...The type of shop is similar to a local Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), but it has a unique feel, probably because they like rock music, and the music is similar to that type of music. Even though it's a shop like that, the clerk, who seems to be the owner who used to work alone, is very pleasant and makes you feel safe using the shop. ◯Atmosphere: A small, tasteful Izakaya (Japanese-style bar)-like atmosphere with a counter and a few tables. There are no windows, so it's dark even during the day. ◯Cost performance...For 1,000 yen, it's a good value for a spice curry that comes with so many things. ◯Overall...The combination of obanzai and curry is worth it on its own since there aren't many of them, but it also seems to be practical as it's filling and reasonably priced. If you think of it as a meal, I think it's much better than the popular spice curry restaurants.
