A Japanese Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) where you can enjoy hot sake and food all year round.
A Japanese Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) near Chikusa Station. I may be biased, but this is a restaurant where you can enjoy carefully-selected sake gently heated and paired with dishes made with ingre |
I went to Yoneya, a popular store near Chikusa Station. A small shop with a few counter seats and two table seats. This is a restaurant where you can feel that they are very particular about their food, and they are a stoic restaurant that only sells alcoholic beverages that go well with the food. Specifically, only beer and sake. The temperature range is also room temperature rather than cold sake, mainly warm sake. Sake is not categorized as ginjo or a brand, but instead offers non-sweet sake that goes well with the food. Recommended drinks are posted on a board and you can choose from there. The overall taste of the dish is delicate and light, bringing out the flavors of the ingredients. Personally, I like the taste, but I don't think it's suitable for people who like sweet drinks such as cocktails and Chuhai (Shochu cocktail), or people who like volume and strong flavors. Tastes vary, but I think this is a restaurant that will appeal to people who like a restaurant that they can go to without putting too much effort into it.
