東山動物園を見学した帰りに昼食を頂きました。
お店は東山通の北側にあります。
オステリアっぽい店内は、落ち着いた雰囲気のお店です。
イタリア語の店名から、イタリアンを想像して入店しましたが、メニューにはオムライス等がある洋食店でした。
確かに、この方が動物園の利用者のニーズに合ってる様な気もします。

私はパスタとビールを頂きました。
この日の気温は10月半ばでも30度近くになり、ビールが美味しいです。
サラダは大きな器で提供されました。
ドレッシングは、酢を使った爽やか系です。
私の好きな味でした。
パスタは、茹で立ての熱々で提供されました。
こちらも大きなお皿が素敵です。
頂くと、市販の乾麺を茹でた印象です。
シンプルなトマトソースが美味しいです。
家族が頼んだハンバーグは、盛り付けが綺麗で、とても美味しそうでした。
実際に、ハンバーグもオムライスも好評でした。

実は、前夜仕事から帰ると、動物園の無料入場券を入手した娘から、絶滅危惧種ウォークラリーに参加しようとの提案がありました。
もう一つの目的は、6月に生まれて一般公開が始まったばかりの、子象のうららを見ることです。
それを聞いた私は、今、東山動物園ではリニューアルが進んでいますが、小学生の頃に見た恐竜のオブジェがまだ残っているのか知りたいなと思い参加しました。
ウォークラリーはコンプリートして、仔象のうららのステッカーをゲット！
そして、恐竜はまだ残っていました。
良かったなと思う反面、恐竜のデザインが古いので、最新の研究成果を取り入れた形にリニューアルしても良いのかもしれませんね。
