This is an offal restaurant located west of Joshin subway station. After having a drink in the Joshin area, I went here next. It's been a while since I've had tonchan. The interior of the restaurant is like a chain restaurant. The clientele is mainly lively young people like student groups, with a few office workers scattered around. I was shown to a counter seat and ordered tonchan miso and salt. The appetizers are self-service and you can have as many refills as you like. I took a quick look, but there were only a few side Side Dishes that seemed to be for commercial use. I chose two types that looked edible. The charcoal grill was good, but the offal had quite a lot of garlic on it. The saltiness was not a salt sauce, but almost a chemical seasoning. The double effect made my tongue numb. The offal also had some issues with freshness, as it had no elasticity and a rather disappointing texture. I don't know. I washed it down with a highball and said thank you for the meal. The quality is hard to find these days.
