When events are held at Nagoya Dome or Tokugawaen, it may get crowded. *The prices of some products will be revised from January 5, 2023 (Thursday). |
I asked Kiyotsuki. After checking other people's posts, it seems like the restaurant is run by a general who trained at Unafuji. Also, Tabelog 100 Famous Stores. We arrived after 11:30, late for the 11:00 opening. Waiting for 4 groups. The number of people waiting will soon increase. At 12 noon, the open sign turned into a sold out sign. I'm glad I went early. Scary. I got through it by talking with my grandpa. He said he doesn't like eel in Kanto because it seems to be steamed unlike in Nagoya or Kansai. It seems that Tokugawa Ieyasu was responsible for the introduction of steamed eel in the Kanto region. It seems to have originated in Ieyasu's later years when he wanted to make eel softer and easier to eat. We were shown to our seats around 12:15. I was told that Hitsumabushi was recommended, so I ordered it. The rice bowl arrived surprisingly quickly. At 3,850 yen, it has a large portion and is a great value for money. And delicious. Nagoya is famous for its hitsumabushi, and it is also a fierce battleground for eel. This place is also quite nice. I will come again with my wife this time ♪ #Seigetsu #Eel Tabelog Tabelog 100 Famous Stores #Nagoya #Hitsumabushi #Nagoya specialty #Nagoyameshi #Japan #japan
