名古屋の外れにあるとんかつ百名店。基本車で訪問することになるだろう。店の前に6台分の駐車場があり、ここに停めることになる。一杯になっていたら残念とのこと。とにかく車をどこに停めたと店員の執拗に詰問された。空いているところに入れてみたらまずは車の中で待てとのこと。そんなに混んでいるのかなと思って10分ほど待ったら中に誘導されたが、中はガラガラだった。店のペースに客が合わせないといけないスタイルのようだ。
メニューは、ロースやヒレなど数種類ずつあるがノーマルのロースを選択。ノーマルで100gとのこと。待ち時間はほどほどで10-15分程度。トンカツ以外の皿を分けてくれるのはいいが提供は同時。どうせならキャベツは先出ししてくれると良かったのだけれど。トンカツの味はなかなかのもの。脂身と赤身が絶妙にマッチしていて層分離していない。キセキ食堂のトンカツに近い印象を持った。かなり細かく刻まれているので衣は楽しみづらい。塩、醤油、ソースで食べるが塩だと少し負ける。醤油やソースの方がいいか。ソースもいい味出している。またライスの粒が立っていて美味しい。
一つ一つのレベルは高いが量は全体的に控えめ。量よりも質を追求しているようだ。
