ここらに来るのは何十年ぶりか、隣にあった味鋺交差点のランドマーク的なチャンポン屋は無くなり、この店の駐車場になっていた。
店先で焼いているのを横目に、カウンター席が向き合わせの懐かしい配置の店内へ、左右にある入口の空いているカウンター側の扉から入ります。
店内は場所柄か、たばこ煙が容赦なく、そんなことお構いなしと楽しそうに呑んで喋ってされている。ただ、隣でたばこを背に担ぐように持たれると、こっちに煙がくるのでご配慮いただきたい。
焼鳥屋だが串揚げもあって、刺身なんかも置いてありメニュー豊富。串はメニューによって3本もしくは2本縛りになっているが、一串あたり90円から160円とリーズナブル。
縛りがあるものの、一串あたりが割と抑え気味なので、合算するとちょうど良い量となります。そして、塩は黒胡椒が効いた濃いめの味付けで、タレは粘度高めでコクが強く、焼きはジューシーとは言い難い、男気すら感じるものです。
店の雰囲気、客、焼き、すべてにワイルドテイストを味わうことの出来る、名古屋市内では少なくなった下町感満載の老舗焼き鳥です。
