We want to make sweets that everyone, from children to the elderly, will enjoy. With this desire in mind, Meltan was founded. The name Meltan is a contraction of "melt tongue," a combination of "melt"
... and "tongue," in the hope that the cakes and sweets we make will have a taste that melts in your tongue. At the time, we started with wholesale only. Time passed, and in 2006, we opened a store on Rakuten Ichiba. We realized the joy of hearing the real voices of our customers. Then, in the hope that more people would feel the "happiness" of sweets, we opened a store in our hometown of Kasugai City. Everyone who comes here can enjoy it. We want to foster the "heart" of our new craftsmen along with their techniques, and make it a store that can connect the important "heart" of our customers and craftsmen.
