Although I say that I rarely go to Family restaurant, today's lunch was Miya Steak. I went there once more than 10 years ago, but I was overwhelmed by the low quality and haven't had a chance to go there since then, or rather, I didn't feel like going. However, I decided to try it again because I don't want to have the same image from more than 10 years ago. You can use GOTOEAT meal vouchers. This is important because I think there are people who go on a shopping spree... Whatever lunch you order, you can have as much rice and soup as you want. First, while I was going to the toilet, I looked at the salad bar that was recommended, but it was much more compact than Bronco Billy's, so I avoided it without ordering. It's pretty expensive. I chose the 1090 yen lunch with Hamburg steak, chicken, and sausage. Since I'm using the GOTOEAT meal voucher, I thought it would be ideal to spend just a little over 1000 yen. And the cheapest minced meat cutlet lunch for 790 yen was a menu that I was stunned by in the past because of its low quality, so I skipped it. There's still this... The attraction of this place is the soup bar. You can drink as much soup as you like, with four different types of soup changing daily. On this day, there was corn soup, vegetable curry soup, clam chowder, and chicken and egg soup. I tried all the dishes, but the clam chowder was the best. I had a second helping, so five bowls in total. The main plate had fries but no vegetables. I really didn't need the spaghetti Napolitana. I was asked if I wanted sauce, so I smiled and declined as usual and continued eating with salt and pepper. The quality of all the dishes was so-so. Well, it wasn't bad, as you would expect at Family restaurant. And the coarsely ground pepper was really hard and I couldn't turn it at all. I'm sure 90% of people wouldn't be able to turn something that an old man can't turn. Still, as I desperately tried to turn it, tragedy occurred. The lid came off and pepper splattered all over the table. It was a disaster, with 70% of the pepper packed in the bowl spilling out. But I didn't care. I quickly cleaned it up and continued eating as if nothing had happened. Then I realized that I could eat the pepper normally without having to grind it up. This was a blessing in disguise. It's quicker to remove the lid and pour it on than to try to turn it desperately. I'll do that next time. I don't remember it from the past, but overall it wasn't bad. It's not a place I would go to, but it might be okay if I just wanted to fill my stomach. Is Saizeriya better then? Maybe. It's one of those chains that has a hard time finding a position.
