桑名の老舗「歌行燈」の系列店。うどん・そば・丼もの主体の和食店。
近年、この会社は積極経営で精力的に新規開店しているようだ。
グループの中では、庶民的なファミリーレストランの位置づけになるのかな。
この近辺に所用があり、手早く昼食をとれるお店を探していた。
お店も駐車場も広いので、入ってみることにした。
店舗の広さに不釣り合いなほど入口が小さいので、少し戸惑った。
テーブル席の他に、個室風の座敷席もたくさんある。
お店の性格上、年輩の客が多い。客層に相応しい、比較的落ち着いた雰囲気。
ランチメニューは日曜祝日を含めた11:00～16:00に注文できるようだ。
714円のうどんランチから、1050円の和定食まで種類は豊富にある。
やじろべえランチ(934円)を注文。
天ぷら・ちらし寿司・ミニうどん・茶碗蒸し・ミニ白玉ぜんざい
随分スピーディーに出てきたので少し驚いたが、天ぷらはちゃんと揚げたて。
うどんのつゆは醤油の色が濃い名古屋風ではなく、色が薄い関西風。
味の方はそつがなく、不満を感じるところはないが、印象に残るわけでもない。
一品ずつの量は軽めだが、これだけ揃えばボリュームはそこそこにある。
美味しい物をいただくために気合いを入れて伺うお店ではない。
年輩のグループ客や家族連れには安心できるお店だろう。
座敷席でゆっくりと気軽に食事できる、こういうお店が便利な場合もあるはずだ。
