東海地方のつけ麺ブームを巻き起こしたお店。
一時期は勢いがあり、支店を多数出店していたが、
オペレーションの違いなどにより、
本店の味とは遠くかけ離れていたために、
流行らなかったのが印象に残る。
同時期にほぼ同コンセプトで勢いがあったのが、
豚そばぎんや だな。
さて、本店にお邪魔したのは実に15年振り。
総本店の看板がすごい主張している。
店内は改装されていて、
行列で30分以上待ちだった頃の面影がない。
訪問時の時間帯が21時を回っていたからか、
来客は私一人だった。
以前ならどの時間帯にも客足が絶えなかったのにな。
いただいたのは、
『元祖つけ麺全部入り てんこ盛り』
大盛り券2枚で、てんこ盛り(400g)になる。
以前とメニューが全く異なる印象。
つけ汁を一口、うまい！
よくある豚骨魚介系の走りなのだが、
旨味が甘味になり、なんとも言えないうまさ。
麺は特徴が薄いが、食感と喉越しの良さが光る。
つけ汁とよく合っている。
彩りのためにネギがつけ麺に添えられているが、
これは早々につけ汁に投入した方が吉。
チャーシュー、メンマ、煮玉子の出来も上々。
久々にうまいつけ麺を食べた。
流行っていないのが謎ではあったが、
みんなこの味に飽きてしまったのかな？
ありきたり系ではあるものの、
洗練された旨さが光る一杯。
また行こう。
