愛知県半田市の新美南吉記念館の向い側にある焼肉屋さん「黒牛の里」。店の前にあるバス停も店の名前の停留所になっています。
鉄板の代わりに溶岩を切り出したプレートで肉を焼く「溶岩焼」なのが特徴で、リゾート気分が味わえるウッディなテイストの店内と相まって、BBQのようにリラックスした雰囲気で焼肉がいただけます。
ランチはセットメニューでいただくのが基本になるようなので、「知多牛上味くらべランチ」をいただきました。上味くらべ（上ネギ塩ロース、上ロースカルビ、一口特選ステーキ、地養鶏、焼き野菜）、ご飯、味噌汁、漬物、飲み物のセットで3,630円。比較的リーズナブルな金額でちょっと贅沢な肉がいただける焼肉ランチです。
地元知多半島のブランド牛である知多牛は、松阪牛や飛騨牛などといった隣県のメジャーブランド牛に隠れて目立ちませんが、良質で鮮度の良い知多牛を遠赤外線効果の高い溶岩板でじっくりと焼いた味わいはナカナカのもの。これなら隣県のメジャーブランド牛にも勝るとも劣らないと思うのは地元びいきでしょうか(^^)
平日ならそうでもないようですが、週末は予約が必須の状況。実はそうとは知らずに飛び込みで店に行ったのですが、最初はあえなく断られてしまいました。待っても良いから…とワガママを言って何とかランチをいただくことができたのですが、二度とその手は使えないと思うので注意が必要です。
支払はランチタイムでもクレジットカードが利用可能。駐車場は店舗の裏側に広い駐車場が用意されています。
