常滑市にあるテキサスキングバーガーさんへお邪魔しました。
いただいたのは看板メニューのテキサスキングバーガーのビールコンボです。
ポテトは衣がカリカリで、味付けは塩強めでスパイシー。
衣のせいか油っ気が強く、少しで十分なジャンクなポテトですが、ビールとは相性が良いですね。
ハンバーガーは見るからにビッグサイズで頼もしい量感。
バンズはふわふわで柔らかく、むっちり甘めなタイプ。
パティはたっぷりのBBQソースやマヨ、その他の具材にやや埋もれがちでしたが、時折覗かせる顔が粗挽きで肉々しくジューシーでした。
味わいとしては、BBQソースも自家製マヨも甘めのため、総じて甘辛い感じ。
ソースのスパイス感と相まって、どことなくお好み焼きっぽいニュアンスを感じるのは私だけでしょうか。
レタスの下にはフライドオニオンがたっぷりで、甘辛くパンチのある味わいにさらにジャンクなインパクトを付与。
ハンバーガーの具材としてポピュラーなトマトは入っていなかったです。
トマトが入っても美味しいとは思いますが、トマトの水気で終盤バーガーがびしょびしょになるのが嫌いなので、これはアリですね。
総じてジャンクでパンチのある味わいのハンバーガーでしたが、全体のバランスはなかなか良好。
ボリューミーで美味しいハンバーガーでした。
