I visited Korean Bar on a holiday evening, located about a 3-minute walk from Meitetsu Chita Handa Station. There are about 8 tables inside the restaurant, and since I went there a little before 6pm, there was only one other customer, but after that, more and more customers started coming in. The menu includes UFO fondue, chicken such as garlic chicken and yangnyeom chicken, a la carte dishes such as chijimi, bulgogi, pork kimchi, and cheese dak galbi, soups such as sundubu jjigae and budae jjigae, and meals such as kimchi fried rice and bibimbap. Prices range from 980 yen for a portion of crispy chicken, and the a la carte dishes are generally around 1000 yen. From those dishes, I tried yangnyeom chicken and kimchi chijimi. I thought the chicken would be too much for one person considering the price, but it seemed to be a signature dish, so I ordered the most Korean-like yangnyeom chicken from the several types, and it was as filling as I expected, with seven generous pieces of firm size. You can choose the spiciness from 1 to 3, but the recommended level is 2, so I went for the 2 level, which was just right for me, who doesn't like spicy food. The tender chicken wrapped in a crispy batter and the rich, sweet and spicy sauce go well with alcohol. On the other hand, the kimchi pancake was quite spicy. The crispy batter and crunchy kimchi were great, but the taste of the sauce was a bit different from my taste, which was disappointing. Although it is a bar, the portions are generally quite large, so it seems like a better place to go with a group rather than one person. Thank you for the meal.
