PR for restaurants |
Tororo made from 100% wild yam can be used in a variety of dishes. The wild yam is carefully made by hand, for a taste that pleases both the body and the soul.
At Restaurant Enoki, located under a large zelkova tree, we treat our guests to dishes made with 100% wild yam. Wild yam, which contains a variety of nutrients, has long been loved by Japanese people |
I had lunch in Toyota City. This is a restaurant I've had my eye on for a while, "Shokudokoro Enoki." I've been there twice, but both times it was closed, so I was disappointed. I was looking for other places to eat for lunch, so I was glad, but if you're going to this restaurant, I recommend calling to check if it's open. I arrived at the restaurant just after 11:00. Lunch service starts at 11:00, so I was a little late. However, the parking lot was empty. I thought it was closed that day, but I was relieved to see the sign saying it was open. The restaurant was also empty. I was the first customer that day. I was told to take a seat wherever I wanted, so I monopolized a 6-person tatami seating area by myself. I ordered Mugitoro Toro Set from the great lunch menu for 1,500 yen (tax included). According to Tabelog, it was 1,260 yen, but it seems that the price has increased quite recently. The menu has been revised with a separate sheet attached. For the latest menu and prices, please refer to here (↓). http://www.machikuru.jp/enoki/ Mugitoro set meal consisted of ten-grain barley rice, grated yam soup, deep-fried wild yam tofu, Small dish, Vinegared dish, a bite-sized soba noodle dish, and pickles. I don't like Vinegared dish, so I asked if I could replace them. It took a while for the food to be served. I could hear the sound of the grated yam soup being stirred from the kitchen, so I guess it means they work carefully. 20 minutes after ordering, Mugitoro toro set meal finally arrived. The grated yam soup was flavored, and I was told to pour it over the bite-sized soba noodle dish as well. The grated yam soup was smooth, which was great. It went well with both the ten-grain barley rice and the soba noodle dish. The proprietress of this restaurant said that when she was sick, wild yam dishes were what saved her. The gentle taste seemed to be filled with such feelings. Small dish dishes that came with it were not bad either. There was no Vinegared dish, but there was a rolled omelette and vegetables dressed in sesame sauce. I'm happy to see such thoughtfulness. Thank you for the meal.
