I had a craving for meat, so after I finished running some errands, I happened to come across Gyukaku, so I went there for lunch. It's been a few years since I've been to Gyukaku. A senior colleague of mine used to take me there a lot in the past. I remember that they had a wide variety of meat, from tasty to cheap and good value. The all-you-can-eat course seems to be popular, but I chose the lunch option. With all-you-can-eat, there's a risk of being greedy and overeating... I chose the A course with kalbi and salted tongue. It was 1,280 yen. I could add a drink for an extra 100 yen. There seemed to be several types of sauce, and I felt a bit cheated because I was late in noticing. I wish the waiter had recommended a sauce that went well with the meat... In the end, I only had rock salt. Given the price, the meat was pretty good. Some of the meat was hard to chew. Still, I got more satisfaction than the price would suggest. If you want to eat a little meat for lunch, this is enough. The waiter's service and training are also well done. It's not a high-end restaurant, so I thought they didn't need to go to such lengths. I was also grateful.
