This is a Japanese cafe in Nishio City. When I went to Sakushima, I tried to have tea on the island, but it was closed, probably because it was winter, so I decided to have tea after leaving the island. In that case, Nishio City is famous for matcha. I came to this shop to look for matcha Sweets. The first floor had the atmosphere of a long-established tea shop, but when you go up to the second floor, it's a very stylish space. It was quite crowded, but since it was near evening, there was no wait. ◎SABO Aoi's Parfait This parfait bears the store's name. Matcha ice cream with matcha warabi mochi? With the addition of kanten, matcha roll cake, and red bean paste, it can be called a classic matcha parfait. Matcha sauce is also included as an extra. It was a delicious parfait centered around rich matcha ice cream, but the addition of matcha sauce made it even more delicious. This matcha sauce is sweeter than I expected. I think it's a little too sweet when taken alone, but when you add it to a parfait, it feels like it's more concentrated, and it's a great success in increasing the taste! ◎BLACK Parfait At first glance, this parfait looks like a high-class Chocolate parfait, so you might think it has nothing to do with tea Sweets, but in fact, in addition to Chocolate, hojicha is also used, so it really is a tea Sweets. With the addition of coffee elements, it creates a very adult Sweets atmosphere. The rich Chocolate had a great impact as a Chocolate parfait, and it was a wonderful parfait that looked like it was offered by a high-end chocolaterie. Matcha for the tea ceremony is served in teacups without disrupting the atmosphere. By the way, there are many places in Nishio City where you can try matcha Sweets, such as Saijoen, Shotsuruen, and Matcha Labo, where you can experience matcha. As expected, Nishio City boasts one of the largest production volumes of matcha in Japan. I'm really jealous.
