I was driving on National Route 1 in Toyohashi City towards Okazaki, and it was past 7pm, so I checked "Nearby Restaurants" on Google Maps and this restaurant came up as the closest, just a few hundred meters away. The category also caught my attention, so I headed there. In addition to the parking space in front of the restaurant, you can also park your car on the opposite side of the road, which is convenient. When I visited at night, the entrance was lit up and had a chic feel, with a stylish "Japanese-style meal Kappo" atmosphere. Since each table is large, I think that single customers sit at the counter during lunch time. It was a rainy day and there was plenty of room at the table, so I sat at the table. Since I was there, I wanted to have a "quick drink" atmosphere, so I ordered a "Zero Ichi" (non-alcoholic beer) and the "Chozaemon Salad", the name of the restaurant. First, the "Zero Ichi" and the "appetizer" arrived. The "appetizer" was "Nanbanzuke", which was dressed with pesto and was very stylish. "Ah, I want to drink something with alcohol..." But even non-alcoholic drinks can be quite enjoyable (lol) And then the delicious and voluminous "Chozaemon Salad" arrived. The proprietress kindly asked me if I wanted a half portion, but I didn't plan on eating that much, so I asked for it as is. It was a Caesar-like salad with Prosciutto, almonds, a soft-boiled egg, parmesan, and other vegetables topped with baby leaves. I continued to eat as I liked. I was attracted by the menu, which included "extra large rock oysters," "hairtail fish," "sweetfish," and "young herring." If I hadn't been in a car after this, I would have ordered about two types of food, but here I simply ordered a "sashimi platter." There were three types: "horse mackerel," "tuna," and the somewhat unusual "trout." Looking at the menu, it said "Red Fuji trout"... It was lightly grilled and had a nice amount of fat, so I enjoyed it. I put the radish garnish and shiso leaves, which were quite thickly laid out, into the salad and ate it all up. I was quite full... At night, I would say "course kaiseki" or "a la carte with a drink..." It seems like a good place for lunch for girls' parties or family gatherings.
