I went to have an early dinner before returning from a day trip to Toyohashi. It is located in a residential area a little away from the station, and the restaurant is up the stairs to the second floor. There is a relaxing atmosphere when you enter the restaurant. There is a pizza oven inside the counter! It was a hot day, so I started off with a glass of sparkling wine. The appetizer was "offcuts of Prosciutto". First, I had "smoked duck loin" as an appetizer. The balsamic flavor was just right. I switched to a glass of white wine and had "oven-baked lasagna". It's baked in a pizza oven, not in an oven. It was absolutely delicious. Lasagna is a lot of work. I was getting pretty full, but I couldn't help but eat pizza, so I ordered "anchovy, bacon, and black olive pizza". The saltiness of the anchovies and the saltiness of the bacon were different types of saltiness, which went well with the wine. The thin, crispy dough made it easy to eat, and I was just full! Next time I'd like to try the pasta. I can't come to Toyohashi often, but this is a restaurant I'd like to visit again.
