At the memorial service, we will have a lunchtime kaiseki meal at Ryokan Donryu. Normally, you should rate this place based on your stay at Ryokan, and since it's a meal that won't hurt your pockets, there are some places where the rating is different from normal, so I'm giving all items a 3.5. It appears to be a long-established Ryokan located deep in the mountains of Mitsu-cho, Toyokawa City. I didn't know about it because I'm not that knowledgeable, but it seems like it's a fairly famous Ryokan in that area, and it seems like it's well-run.It's a long-established inn that can easily provide seats for banquet-like memorial services in this day and age. As soon as I felt the underlying power. The great thing about this Ryokan is its location. You can see a magnificent view of Mikawa Bay. There are simple seats and a large glass window near the front desk, where matcha tea and sweets are served as a welcome drink. I think taking a breather while looking out at the spectacular view of Mikawa Bay is the perfect way to soothe your journey to Ryokan. I'm not sure if a welcome drink is usually included in lunchtime kaiseki meals, but today, perhaps because there were a large number of people, a welcome drink was included. It felt very nice and the scenery was amazing. As expected from a long-established Ryokan, the customer service was very hospitable (^^) I think the food was probably bamboo kaiseki.・Appetizers ・Vinegared dishes/ Vinegared dish ・Simmered/Steamed Simmered dish ・Grilled dishes ・Specialties ・Nabe dishes ・Rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and fruit for around ¥7,000. Overall, my impression was that it was neither fair nor bad. Personally, I feel that the food served at Ryokan, or rather banquets, must be prepared in large quantities, and compared to specialty restaurants, it's a step further down the line. Since there was no explanation of the dishes, there may be mistakes in the classification.・Appetizer Fried firefly squid, fava beans, and sesame tofu The sesame tofu had a faint aroma of sesame, and the sticky tofu was delicious with the Japanese bean paste.・Appetizer Roast Beef Salad The roast beef might be a little overcooked.・ Vinegared dish (probably) Eel Sushi liver Something with yuzu flavor Maybe this is treated as Vinegared dish? The yuzu-flavored ones had a strong yuzu aroma and were delicious. - Sashimi: Sea bream, shrimp, squid, salmon roe, seared bonito, sea lettuce. The shrimp and squid were very sweet. - Boiled and steamed Simmered dish such as Simmered dish mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and pumpkin. Chawanmushi - Grilled salt-grilled sweetfish - Specialty: Miso dengaku with eggplant It looks pretty good considering it's a specialty (^^) The eggplant was fresh and delicious. I think it would have been better if the miso was a little stronger or sweeter. - Hot pot: Miso chicken I wonder if Nabe Tori is Nagoya Cochin? The meat was soft and juicy. ・Rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and fruit. I think the fruits were mainly strawberries, hassaku, and Iyokan jelly. My strawberries were quite exciting. That's all for now (^^) Anyway, it's quite good. It was a luxurious space, and it was a banquet-like meal that is difficult to have these days (even though it was a small one with almost no alcohol and only about 10 people) I thought that there was something really good about banquets at Ryokan. .
