秋田の有名バーテンダーで、川反の星とも言われていた故・黒坂明氏が同じく川反にあるバー1996の次にオープンしたお店。
店名の1980は、黒坂明氏が独立した年に因んでおり、初心を忘れないようにという思いが込められているそう。
スタンダードカクテルはもちろんのこと、創作カクテルも豊富。メニューがあるので初心者でも選びやすい。
マスターの横井さんは技術もさることながら、お酒が大好きで、テキーラ、ウイスキー、ジン、ラムとお酒トークが弾む。
話していると、ホセ・クエルボを出していただいた。いまはアサヒビールが輸入販売しているはずだが、裏のラベルを見るとジャーディンの文字。90年代のホセ・クエルボだそう。お酒が好きな方はマスターとお酒の話をして、お酒を出してもらうことをお勧めします。
地元の方の来店も多数。接客もよく肩肘張らないアットホームな雰囲気のお店だが、お酒の品揃えも豊富で、マスターのお酒の話を聞くのも楽しい本格派なお店。
フードも美味しいと評判。
