秋田市に本社を置く製パン会社。
創業は1951年。
元は、秋田県に於ける3社の有力製パン会社の一つだったが、ライバルの2社を買収し、秋田県では最大の製パン会社へと発展。
1968年から山崎製パンと提携している。
サンドケーキは、当社が提供する菓子パンの1種。
パッと見には、ソースカツのサンドウィッチの様。実際には、スポンジケーキで小倉入りバニラクリームを挟んでいて、味も食感もパンやカツとは異なる。何も知らされずにいきなり口にしたら、見た目とのギャップに驚くかも。
スポンジケーキには、あきたこまちの米粉を練り込んであり、しっとり・もっちりしている。
小倉クリームはふんわり・滑らかで、口の中でとろけていく。
甘さは、全体的には控えめ。
ボリュームがあり、食べ応えが。

秋田県内の高校とのコラボ商品で、今回のは大館鳳鳴高校とのコラボ商品。
ふんわりとしたいちご風味のスポンジ生地の中に、バナナの果肉と、いちごミルク風クリーム、いちごジャムが入っている。
