40年ぶりの秋田県、そして秋田空港からレンタカーで55キロほどドライブし初の横手市です。開店15分ほど前に到着し店舗の真ん前にある駐車場で待つことしばし、11時ジャストに「準備中」の電光板が「営業中」に変わり入店しました。連れはシンプルな横手やきそば、自分は牛バラやきそばを注文。「食べて待ってて下さいね」と浅漬けをサービスで出してくれて嬉しい感じで美味しくいただきました。そして出て来たのは中太ストレート麺にソースがかかり半熟の目玉焼きが乗って福神漬が添えられたもので、牛バラ焼きそばはそれに牛バラと玉ねぎと野菜サラダが添えられてます。そしてソースがシャバシャバで皿に溜まるほどかけられたスタイルが特徴的でしたね。
弾力ある麺に濃い目で甘みを感じるシャバシャバソースがよく絡み、目玉焼きの黄身を割って混ぜると絶妙な美味しさになります。牛バラも濃い目の香ばしい味付けでそりゃ美味しいに決まってます。結構ボリュームもあってシンプルな横手やきそばの580円という値段はお得感ありますねえ。
その後地元の家族やサラリーマン風の男性など次々に来店して人気のほどがうかがえました。
初めての横手やきそば、本場で食べることが出来て大満足です。
