旅行5日目（最終日）のランチは、青森市でやたら目立つ三角形の板状のビル、アスパムの10階にある郷土料理店みちのく料理西むらアスパム店です。実は昨日の『臨時休業で行き損ねた店』です。まぁそのおかげでインド料理の店を発見できたわけですが。
津軽定食1,850円。じゃっぱ汁（タラのアラで出汁を取った汁物）、ホタテの貝味噌焼き（ホタテの貝殻にホタテとだし汁、味噌を入れて卵で綴じた料理）、ニシンの切り込み（ニシンを細切りにして米麹で和えた料理）、がっくら漬け（大根を塩と麹で漬け込んだもの）といった青森県の郷土料理を一度に食べられるセットです。これだけいろいろ食べられて値段も手頃。
このなかではニシン（中央の醤油の隣の小鉢）が美味かったな。量は少なくてほんのおつまみ程度なんですが。じゃっぱ汁は、まさに魚介出汁！という味。あら汁って普段あんまり食べる機会が無いので美味しくいただきました。そういえば八甲田丸のりんご長屋で女の人が作っているのがじゃっぱ汁でした。ホタテの貝味噌焼きは、以前青森を訪れた時以来なので10数年ぶりに食べました。自宅周辺には青森料理を出している店はまったくないので…。
というわけで、青森に観光に行って手軽に郷土料理を味わいたいときには、この津軽定食はお勧めです。窓際の席なら眺めも良さそうです。
