There used to be a Gyukaku chain in Akita City, but I think it's only in Yurihonjo City now... This is my first time visiting Gyukaku (lol). It's been a while since I last visited a chain Yakiniku (Grilled meat) restaurant like this, but the interior is bright and the staff are very cheerful and welcoming. It feels like all the staff said "Welcome" to me (lol). The menu was extensive and I had a hard time deciding what to eat, but I ordered what you see in the photo. The big skirt steak is called "King Skirt Steak"! You can choose between miso and salt flavor. They even give you scissors to cut it properly. My favorite yukhoe. Horse meat is fine too. I love raw meat (lol). Highballs don't normally come with lemon, but when I asked, they kindly brought me a big lemon. For some reason, even when I ordered a Kaku highball, the glass was filled with Torys... (lol). It still tasted like Kaku, though. It was a weekend night and the number of customers was increasing, so I could see that it was popular. I was mesmerized by the sight of a man who looked like a monk eating yakiniku by himself at the counter, gulping down his rice, yakiniku and draft beer... (lol) Before I knew it, I had drunk quite a few highballs and was tipsy as I headed off to the next bar ★ Thank you for the meal.
