Dessert lunch buffet has begun!
From February 1st, customers who have had the third lunch will receive an all-you-can-eat one-plate dessert due to its popularity. |
Although located on the northern tip of Honshu, the Tsugaru domain incorporated various techniques and Western culture. For this reason, Hirosaki has many Western-style buildings built during the Meiji and Taisho periods, and some of the buildings that were used by foreign teachers still remain. Perhaps because of its high-class character, Hirosaki is actually the regional city with the most French restaurants in Japan, relative to the population. (This is called "Hirosaki French cuisine.") Since I had come all the way to Hirosaki-kun, I decided to try "Hirosaki French cuisine" and contacted famous restaurants to make reservations, but many of them were closed, so I managed to make a reservation. The one who was able to get it was ``Chez Ange''. ``Chez Ange'' is about 15 minutes walk from Hirosaki Station. There's a little distance. The exterior looks like a stylish Western-style house. When you enter, you will find an antique atmosphere based on red and white. It looks like a room in a petite chateau in France. This time, I ordered "A Lunch" (2200 yen) from the lunch course. "A Lunch": 1 item from hors d'oeuvres, soup, 1 item from fish or Meat Dishes, bread, dessert, espresso or tea. Additional charges may apply depending on the menu you choose. For my main dish, I chose the ``3-piece poached seafood platter with 2 sauces'' from among the fish dishes, but the additional charge was 660 yen. The menu other than the main menu is as follows. Amuse `` Seafood'', Hors d'oeuvre ``Smoked Salmon Salad'', Soup ``Cold Apple Soup'', Dessert ``Shikuwasa Sherbet, Coffee Flavored Brulee, Gateau Chocolat, Fruit (Muscat Dragon Fruit)'' ``Cold Apple Soup'' ” is typical of Hirosaki. It could be said to be synonymous with "Hirosaki French cuisine." It's no exaggeration to say that I booked French cuisine because I wanted to eat this. As for the taste, it could be called a dessert soup or "apple milk"... The main dish, ``3-piece seafood poilet with 2 sauces,'' consisted of fish, scallops, and shrimp, and the fried pork was exquisite. Especially the fish, the skin is crispy and the flesh is moist. It was a stir fry that brought out the flavor of the ingredients. I'm glad I chose this menu even though I paid the extra fee. For the drink, I chose ``Apple Cider.'' Normally I would have chosen wine, but due to the location of Hirosaki, I chose ``apple cider.'' After all, I want to try something unique to that area. Actually, when I called in advance to change the time, the response was not very good... First of all, she wouldn't tell me the name of the store, and no matter what I said, she would only respond with "yes," so I was worried that everything would be okay. When I actually visited, the serving staff were smiling and polite. I received a lot of attention, and I wondered what the hell that phone call was about (lol). The person who answered the phone was an old man, so he may not have been the original customer service staff. Are you a chef? There is a bread factory next to Restaurants, and they sell fresh bread called ``Silk Bread.'' This is the world's first raw bread made with silk. Restaurants also serve toasted versions of this bread, and this bread is delicious. Silk is so smooth that you can eat it (lol). It was a worthwhile Restaurants just to eat this bread.
