りんごの街・弘前市に来ました。
弘前駅前にあるアートホテル弘前シティのカフェでお茶しましょう。
アップルパイを食べましょう。
オーダーは「密りんごの自然派アップルパイ」セットです。
まず見た目がインパクトがありますね。
これがアップルパイ？
りんごをあまり煮詰めず、りんごの食感を残したアップルパイの上にシナモンアイスクリームをのせて、生りんごで飾っています。
お皿にはシナモンパウダーを散らして爽やかな香りに包まれます。
今まで食べてたアップルパイとは全く違う味わいに驚きました。
これまで出会ったアップルパイはどちらかと言うとパイが主役で煮詰めたりんごは脇役でしたが、ここのアップルパイはたっぷりのりんごの食感を前面に押し出して完全にりんごが主役でした。
りんごをクタクタに煮詰めるのではなくりんごの食感や形を残していました。
そこにシナモンアイスクリームを絡めて食べると今までに味わったことがない感覚に五感を刺激されしばらくは茫然と言葉を失うほどでした。
セットのドリンクはホットコーヒーです。
いつものようにブラックで飲みましたが、ホテルカフェらしい酸味や苦味を抑え気味の飲みやすいコーヒーです。
吹き抜けで天井の高い気持ちのいいホテルのカフェらしい空間でゆっくり寛げました。
