A rare charcoal-Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) restaurant in front of Hirosaki Station
It has been about a year and a half since we moved from Kajicho, the entertainment district of Hirosaki City, to the station front. Today, I sat alone at the counter and ordered a set of 7 Grilled skewer with draft beer, giblets, and salt. Draft beer comes out, and sesame oil and salt that weren't there in the past? Cabbage tossed with rice was served as an appetizer. Motsuni is delicious with seasoned daikon radish... Grilled skewer seems to be different depending on the occasion, but meatballs always seem to be included. You can choose the seasoning, or if you specify the sauce, it comes with egg yolk...but personally, the combination of salted meatballs and fresh green peppers is the best. Bite into it and pour it in with vice sour. There are other shops in Hirosaki that serve Vice Sour, but I don't think there are many that serve the combination of salted meatballs and fresh green peppers, so please give it a try. In addition, I ordered Iberico pork tontoro, pork shiso roll, green onion, and shiitake mushroom. All are delicious. The menu is mostly the same, but I personally love the shiitake Grilled skewer, which were not available during the Kajicho era. After moving to the front of the station, I feel like the customer base has changed, with fewer so-called "drinkers" and more regular customers. And on weekends, if you don't make a reservation in advance, you won't be able to get in because it's full. Still, there is a valuable charcoal-grilled Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) in front of the station, so I recommend it.

What I recommend at this Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) restaurant is the "salt meatballs." Tsukune (chicken meatballs) often comes with egg yolk...whether it's sauce or salt. That's what I had in mind, but this was the first time I tried salt-grilled meatballs with green pepper instead of egg yolk. It goes well with this... It might be tough for people who can't eat green peppers, but if you don't hate green peppers, please give it a try. If you simply say ``Tsukune'' when ordering, you may receive egg yolk in the sauce, so try asking for ``Salt Tsukune with green pepper.''
