「10/15より新そば提供開始」という情報を入手し、青森からバイクを飛ばして片道120ｋｍ、八戸市南郷の道の駅にある「三稜荘」さんへやって来ました。八戸道を使わず国道４号線→国道104号線→県道42号線、と下回りで2時間半のツーリングです。11:30には到着したのですが平日にも関わらずすでに行列状態。みなさん、新そばを待っていたのですね。待つことしばしで店内へ案内され着席。ざるそば大盛り1050円を注文。程なく着丼。大盛りにしては少な目。まずは一口。そばがブツブツ切れていてそばをすする、という感じからほど遠いです。店の前に注意書きがあり、「今年の新そばは夏場の高温のせいでブツブツに切れやすいが味は例年どおりです」、とのこと。短いそばですが食べてみてそばの香りがしておいしかったです。この時期しか食べることができない貴重な新そばを堪能した1日でした。ごちそうさまでした。また来ます（南郷は遠いなあ…）。
